THE MART

With an 11-year history working within this historic Chicago landmark, Skender aided in The Mart’s ambitious repositioning to adapt to the evolution of tenant and visitor experiences. This progressive project harmoniously draws on the building’s history and vision for the future, including a new conference center, speakeasy, fitness center, circulation area and new finishes throughout the second-floor main corridors. The fitness center features a golf simulator, locker rooms, saunas, and state-of-the-art acoustics to absorb sound transfer. The conference center features advanced audiovisual systems, high-end custom finishes, millwork, and exposed ceilings. The speakeasy includes a luxury-styled restaurant with custom millwork and seating. The circulation areas include new terrazzo flooring, metal portals and wall finishes at each passthrough.
