Skender is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our talented group of employees.
Responsibilities
A Warehouse Associate at Skender is responsible for managing warehouse inventory and organizing all the necessary equipment, tools, and deliveries from our warehouse to various Skender job sites.
- Manages all orders/pick tickets related to Skender's Self-Perform (SSP) department (carpentry, paint, demolition)
- Assists with managing rental equipment while ensuring proper transfer of equipment from job to job
- Manages warehouse inventory for SSP specific items
- Manages all SSP project specific deliveries to the warehouse as well as scheduling back out to job sites
- Maintains accurate records for the purpose of documenting activities and providing dependable information
- Keeps warehouse clean for safety and sanitary purposes
Qualifications
- Forklift certified
- Prior warehouse experience related to construction/carpentry preferred
- Basic understanding of construction materials
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions
- Must possess basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks to completion with minimal supervision
- Ability to work establish effective working relationships with their peers, supervisors, and external vendors or clients
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Work Environment
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
- Must be able to move extremely heavy items - gang boxes can weigh upwards of 600 pounds (on wheels)
- Must be able to quickly move arms and legs
- Excellent stamina is required
- Hours will be approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
