Ace Hardware

Skender completed the largest suburban office buildout since 2018 for Ace Hardware’s corporate HQ, transforming the former McDonald’s campus into a modern workplace. The project includes open workstations, 150 conference rooms, 12 cafes/pantries and various collaboration spaces. The renovation has repurposed many of the main building’s original architectural elements, including a large center atrium and skywells that allow ample natural light to flow throughout the space. Skender utilized the existing six-inch raised-floor system for all electrical and low-voltage infrastructure, which kept the open areas clear. To combat external supply chain challenges, Skender leveraged flexible phasing and work sequencing to further streamline the construction schedule for on-time and on-budget delivery.
