Drywall Project Manager

Skender is currently seeking a Drywall Project Manager to join our talented group of employees within our self-perform group.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Foster and build relationships with internal Skender project management teams.
  • Manage and coordinate current projects by documenting and interacting with project managers through successful completion of work.
  • Work directly with Skender Self Perform project foremen and field team.
  • Ensure that the proper submittals are submitted, returned approved, and materials are procured in a timely manner.
  • Perform quantity take-offs, bidding, and internal networking services, including understanding upcoming projects and timelines.
  • Prepare preconstruction budgets as early as the schematic design and design development phases with appropriate level of detail to provide a value add to the business.
  • Process contracts and change orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist in determining amount of monthly progress billings.
  • Review, in detail, GC scope documents to ensure proper bid coverage around all included trades.
  • Procure and review qualified subcontractor bids and scopes when required.
  • Attend and participate in all subcontractor project meetings and phase meetings.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial metal framing and drywall construction estimating.
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial metal framing and drywall construction project management.
  • Proficiency in OST and QuickBid is required.
  • Diverse background in various types of commercial construction projects required.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schedules, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction budgets, scheduling, and estimating.
  • Strong management abilities. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization and multi-tasking skills.
