With a strong focus on collaboration, the space includes open classrooms with movable furniture and equipment, nine biomedical engineering stations, five lab stations, huddle rooms and an underground raceway.

The exterior features a large façade with electrochromic technology, a form of Smart Glass that changes with the intensity of sunlight on the exterior. The glass becomes less transparent when the sun starts to set in the west, reducing the solar heat gain and glare into the facility, which aids in the project’s LEED Silver certification.
