C.H. Robinson’s headquarters was a 207,000-square-foot, four-floor, build-to-suit project in a new building that was completed concurrent with the base building work. This required extensive communication and scheduling not only within the project team, but also with the base building’s team, which included a different general contractor.
The interior space, built for 1,600 employees, required dual generators to complete, which involved heavy coordination. The buildout included a 5,000-square-foot roof terrace that was completed on a condensed schedule due to winter weather that extended late into April 2018. Despite these unavoidable scheduling challenges, the project completed on time and within the client’s budget.
