Skender Named Finalist for 2026 Indiana Contractor of the Year
REjournals has named Skender a finalist for its 2026 Indiana General Contractor of the Year award. This marks the fifth time since opening its central Indiana office in 2020 that Skender has been recognized for statewide builder of the year honors — three times by REjournals and twice by the Indiana Subcontractors Association.
In 2025, Skender experienced meaningful Indiana growth, strengthened Indiana community investment, and delivered impactful Indiana projects – all of which reflect the strength of Skender’s Indiana team and the trust placed in the company by its partners. Across the state, Skender has surpassed 5 million square feet of completed and active construction, supported by 83% revenue growth.
Throughout 2025, the team delivered significant work across Indiana, demonstrating the breadth of Skender’s capabilities in municipal, commercial, healthcare, and mixed-use environments. Notable projects include the three-story, mixed-use Ardalan Plaza in Carmel; Baker Tilly and Ernst & Young office buildouts in Indianapolis; Hamilton County Special Projects; MassMutual buildout in Keystone; and the new 1,000,000-square-foot IU Health South Support Building.
In December 2025, Skender reached two defining milestones in the City of Westfield, breaking ground on the new Westfield Police Station Headquarters while simultaneously commencing construction on the $105 million mixed-use Grand on Main, a significant development that will feature luxury living, high-end retail and modern office space. Skender will relocate and expand its Indiana office to Grand on Main when the building opens in early 2028.
Skender’s momentum continued into January 2026, when the company was honored with a nomination from the Westfield Chamber for Business of the Year as well as being named one of the Best Places to Work in Indiana by the Indiana Chamber.
REjournals Indiana award winners will be announced on April 8.
