IT Systems Administrator

Skender is currently seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our talented group of employees.


Responsibilities

An IT Systems Administrator at Skender is responsible for aiding company users of information resource technology hardware, systems, and related infrastructure. Develops, establishes, and coordinates new system and application implementation plans.

  • Develops new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability. 
  • Trains technical staff on how to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired.
  • Establishes guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems, disk arrays, fiber channel switches and other components.
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.
  • Develops procedures, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications.
  • Develops and coordinates project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the organization. 
  • Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology. 
  • Participates as a key member of the Cyber Security team.


Qualifications

  • Proficient in VM Ware, Windows Client/Server Environment with Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange
  • Advanced experience building and maintaining domain controllers
  • Proficiency in Cisco Router and Firewall configuration a plus
  • Must have excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in Acronis Backup Software and Mobile Device Management a plus
  • Certifications or relevant experience with cloud infrastructure a plus
