Skender is currently seeking a Trim Carpenter to join our talented group of employees.

Responsibilities: 

A trim carpenter journeyman at Skender is responsible for the production and quality of the products that are installed by their team. 

• Install casework, molding, and trim of doors, windows, baseboards, crown molding, and other ornamental pieces
• Install hollow metal and wood door, frame, and hardware systems
• Install cabinetry, cabinet hardware, countertops, and some fixtures as required
• Material handling and storage
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; bring problems to the attention of the Carpenter Foreman on site
• Meet production standards for individual tasks to maintain scheduled completions

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 3 years of interior trim, casework and/or millwork carpentry experience
• Education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instruction
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in commercial and interior projects
• Union affiliation with valid union card required
