Hauler - Fork Lift

Skender is currently seeking an experienced Hauler to join our impressive group of talented employees on our manufacturing team.

Responsibilities
A hauler at Skender is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor for modular manufacturing; including the packaging, inventory, and transportation of products and materials.

• Safely and efficiently transport material throughout the facility using lift trucks.
• Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor, including but not limited to unloading, receiving, and unpacking material, and checking receipts against purchase
order for proper shipment, shortages, damage, or defects.
• Prepare appropriate paperwork for shipments, transfer, receipts, and pick-ups.
• Package modular inventory to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.

Qualifications
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work. High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous forklift experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience with inventory management preferred.
• Some experience working within a distribution, manufacturing or warehouse facility/warehouse.

Work Environment
• Union Shop.
• Regularly works in conditions that include exposure to dust, cold, heat, or humidity.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
• Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
• Noise level is generally loud.
• Must be able to quickly move arms and legs.
• Excellent stamina is required.
