Skender Construction Announces Promotions
CHICAGO, Illinois (November 11, 2011) – Skender Construction, a leading general contractor in the Chicago region, announced that several individuals have been promoted at the growing firm.
- Afshan Barshan, LEED AP | Senior Project Manager to Project Executive Barshan began his career at Skender in 2005 and is directly responsible for leading project management teams and overseeing various projects. Barshan is also a founding member of the Lean Construction Institute Chicago Chapter and is a graduate of Michigan State University.
- Brian Bukowski, LEED AP | Project Manager to Senior Project Manager Bukowski joined Skender in 2007 and is currently managing the 200,000 square foot renovation of the Fletcher Jones Mercedes Benz dealership in Newport Beach, California. He is a graduate of Purdue University.
- Brian Simons, LEED AP | Project Manager to Senior Project Manager Simons joined Skender Construction in 2007 as Project Manager and is currently managing a construction project at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He is a graduate of Purdue University.
- Joe Pecoraro, LEED AP | Project Manager to Senior Project Manager Pecoraro joined Skender Construction as Project Engineer in 2005. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
- Collins Whitfield, LEED AP | Project Manager to Senior Project Manager Whitfield joined Skender Construction as Project Engineer in 2006. Whitfield has managed over 2 million square feet of interior construction and is a graduate of Purdue University.
- Tom Hall | Superintendent to Senior Superintendent Hall joined Skender in 2006. He has managed over 6 million square feet of interior construction over the course of his 30-plus year career.
- Bill Mildice | Superintendent to Senior Superintendent Mildice joined Skender in 2005. He has managed over 5 million square feet of interior construction over the course of his 30-plus year career.
- Tony Fontanetta | Superintendent to Senior Superintendent Fontanetta joined Skender in 2006. He has managed over 3 million square feet of interior construction over the course of his 25 year career.
- Larry Conlin | Project Foreman to Superintendent Conlin joined Skender in 2010. He has managed over 500,000 square feet of interior construction over the course of his 20-plus year career.
- Brian Kane | Project Engineer to Project Engineer II Kane joined Skender in 2008.
- Brian Skender | Project Engineer to Project Engineer II Skender joined the firm in 2004 as a laborer.
- Alex Hernandez | Project Accountant to Senior Project Accountant Hernandez joined Skender in 2007.
