Skender Construction Announces New Groundbreakings
Recent Groundbreakings Include Projects in Countryside and Hanover Park, Illinois Countryside Senior Apartments is a 58,000 square foot senior independent living facility located in Countryside on Joliet Road. The four-story, 70 unit building includes parking for 100 vehicles and features exterior brick veneer walls and composite metal panels. Skender broke ground early September and construction will be complete in fall 2010. The development is also expected to receive LEED Silver certification from the U.S Green Building Council. Church Street Station is a three-story skilled nursing facility comprised of 150 beds. This 77,000 square foot structural steel building includes metal deck and precast planks. Located in Hanover Park, on Lake Street, this new development has been in the preconstruction phases for over three years.
