Lemont Public Library

In 1929, the Lemont Public Library began as a collection of books housed in the basement of the City Hall. Today, the 22,000 square foot facility houses nearly 80,000 books, and acts as an anchor to the community.

Skender constructed the library that features a three-story clerestory entry, public meeting room, children’s room, activity center, an adult services room, and significant architectural elements throughout.
