Joseph Skender

President


President Joseph Skender, who since 1980 has been a shareholder and principal, provides overall strategic direction and executive leadership for Skender Construction. Joseph Skender has led this progressive organization by employing construction professionals with unique skill sets across several vertical markets.


Joe Skender is a graduate of DePaul University with a B.S. in Business Administration.

 

 


Mark Skender

Executive Vice President


Mark Skender has been a Partner and Executive Vice President of Skender Construction since 1989. Skender has played an integral role in the development of the long-term vision, strategic direction, organizational design, and values of the organization. Skender oversees the senior housing, healthcare and community-centered market sectors. As a member of the executive team, he has a strong influence in the development and implementation of growth strategies.


Mark Skender earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

 

 

 

Justin Brown

Executive Vice President

Justin Brown’s experience in the construction of interior build outs began in the mid-nineties and has successfully
managed over 8 million square feet of interior construction projects. As an equity partner of Skender Construction,
Justin is fully empowered to make all decisions on behalf of the firm and utilize the firm’s resources to deliver a
successful project. Justin Brown is in charge of the operations and business development of Skender Construction’s
interior market sectors including automotive and commercial growth.

 

Justin Brown received Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Building Construction
Management from Purdue University.


Jerry Ball

Chief Financial Officer


Jerry Ball joined Skender Construction in 2003 and possesses 13 years experience in the construction industry. As Chief Financial Officer, Jerry Ball is responsible for managing the administrative activities including preparation of financial statements, audits and tax reports. He supervises the accounting department and oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and human resources.

 

Jerry Ball received a B.S. in Accounting from University of Illinois in Chicago. In addition, he has served in the United States Army and is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association.
