By the Hand Club for Kids

By the Hand Club for Kids selected Skender to construct a new community center to continue their committed outreach in Chicago. This 28,000 square foot facility will feature a full size gymnasium, multiple classrooms, kitchen area and a cafeteria. By the Hand Club for Kids, a group affiliated with The Moody Church, is an after-school program that focuses on academics and caring for underprivileged children. Since 2001, the association has made a difference in children’s lives by mentoring them to their full potential.

Skender’s aimed to achieve LEED Silver, including an 80% green roof, upon project completion.
